In case anyone is wondering. The Chevy Volt handles really well in icy and snow conditions. I plowed through 10 inches of snow to park and was able to get out of there when I had to leave. I never encountered any more than that, and no more than 6 inches on the roads I drove on.
My only concern would be in deeper snow, since the front of the car is so low. I am sure I will get to test it out eventually in a foot of snow, but not likely this year.
